After a much-needed break and some quality time with family and friends back in Ohio, I’m beyond excited to dive back into the fashion world in my second home—New York City! There’s something about the energy here that just fuels my creativity and ambition in ways no other place can. Being back has been a refreshing experience, and I’m loving every minute of it.

I can’t talk about my journey without mentioning Los Angeles, where I’ve spent a significant amount of time over the years. LA holds a special place in my heart. The weather, the opportunities, and the success I found there were incredible. From networking with like-minded individuals to discovering new fashion trends, the city gave me so much to be grateful for. However, as much as I loved it, LA never truly felt like home. Maybe it was the laid-back vibe or the fact that my family and close friends weren’t nearby, but there was always a piece of me yearning for something more grounded.

That’s where NYC comes in. Despite the hustle and bustle, the crowded streets, and the ever-changing skyline, it’s the people that make this city feel like home. Having family here and reconnecting with old friends has made my transition back seamless and comforting. New York City has a unique energy—a mix of grit and glamour—that inspires me every single day. There’s a sense of belonging here that I couldn’t quite find in Los Angeles, no matter how much I loved my time there.

Since I’ve been back, I’ve noticed so many changes in the city. Hudson Yards, with its sleek modern design and incredible shopping options, has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Brooklyn’s creative energy continues to thrive, and it’s been amazing exploring all the new galleries, boutiques, and cafés popping up. And, of course, SoHo—a timeless hub for fashion and inspiration—never disappoints. These neighborhoods have given me a fresh perspective on a city I thought I knew so well, and I’m constantly rediscovering why I fell in love with it in the first place.

Getting back into the rhythm of NYC life has been a whirlwind in the best way possible. From catching up with loved ones to immersing myself in the ever-evolving fashion scene, I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be. This city has always been a source of inspiration, and I’m thrilled to be here again, ready to take on new challenges and create something truly special.

I’m also looking forward to reconnecting and continuing to grow Rollin Racks Style Agency. We are still on a quest for venture capital funds to go GLOBAL, but we are very content with where we are and the headway we have made over the years. I’m praying to meet the right people to invest in my brand, knowing that partnering with the right individuals will help elevate Rollin Racks to even greater heights.

That said, I do miss my home back in Ohio with its sprawling 10,000-square-foot yard. Trading that in for my cozy NYC studio has been an adjustment, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make for the vibrancy and opportunities this city provides. Here’s to embracing the energy, the opportunities, and everything that makes New York City home.

XOXO  until next time... 💋 Chrissy
